Probiotic [1]

Day and Night Trio for Oily, Acne-prone skin

Probiotic skincare contains live bacteria, which contribute to the skin's health and appearance

A complete morning and evening routine for oily skin with a tendency to break out.

The probiotic oil contains live bacteria that actively protect against problematic bacteria that otherwise create impurities and pimples. Apply the oil in the evening to let is work undisturbed throughout the night.

The light-weight, postbiotic face gel quickly absorbs into the skin, making it perfect for use in the morning, when you're applying additional products like sunscreen or make-up.

The mild, prebiotic cleanser that contains nutrition that feeds the probiotic bacteria, so you get a good starting point for healthier skin and a balanced microbiome.

The package includes: Clarifying Face Gel for Acne-prone Skin (50 ml), Oil for acne-prone skin (20 ml) & Prebiotic cleanser (100 ml).

  • Shake before use

The fine crystals in the oil contain the probiotics. They will dissolve upon contact with your skin to release the good bacteria.

To ensure the probiotics are dispersed throughout the oil, shake the bottle before drawing oil into the pipette.

  • Cleanse & Moisturize

Cleanser: Wet the skin with lukewarm water and massage a few drops of the cleanser onto the skin. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Oil: Apply several drops of the oil to clean skin, and gently spread the product evenly, in a thin layer. The oil can be used both on the face and body.

  • Avoid skincare with preservatives

Let probiotic products absorb into the skin for 30 minutes before applying other products like sunscreen or make-up.

All water-based products contain preservatives designed to kill bacteria—also the good ones. By giving the bacteria 30 min, they have a chance to establish themselves on the skin.

  • Store probiotics cool until first use

When unopened, keep the probiotic oil in the fridge (2-8 °C) to maximize shelf-life.

Once opened, store the product at room temperature. The product will maintain maximum efficacy for the first three months after opening.

Real probiotics are a science

There's a bunch of rumors, recommendations and undocumented experiences within probiotics. We try to elevate the discussion on the area and separate fake from fact, probiotic from none-probiotic

  • Not necessarily.

You may have eread about CFU (colony formin units), which is the indicator of how many active bacteria a product contains. A larger number is not necessarily better. The best dosis is the one which is tested and has proven health benefits.

  • Great questions.

'Probiotic' is often misinterpreted or misused in products that don’t fulfill the definition. Probiotics is still a fairly new area of research and consumer products (in some categories at least), which is why it is sometimes use as a marketing-gimmick. Unfortunately this dilutes the actual science behind real probiotics. There is however stricter regulation on the way, which will hopefully make it easier for you as a consumer to separate probiotics from marketing.

Still curious?

People in the industrial world loses microbial diversity in the gut and on the skin due to Western Lifestyle; We live too clean, use antibiotics and eat diet with high fat and refined sugars but low in fiber. The decrease of microbial diversity directly correlates with a rise in a range of skin issues as well as metabolic and immune diseases like allergy, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D), and multiple sclerosis (MS).
