  • Crystals with probiotics

The fine crystals in the serum contain the probiotics. They will dissolve upon contact with your skin to release the good bacteria.

  • How to use

Cleanser: Wet the skin with lukewarm water and massage a few drops of the cleanser onto the skin. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

The cleanser is oil-based and free from sulphates which is why it doesn’t foam. It will remove dirt and most make-up. Avoid contact with eyes. Suitable for the face and body (but not the intimate area).

Serum: The serum is rich and ideal for over-night use. Apply a small amount of probiotic serum to clean skin, and gently spread the product evenly, in a thin layer. The serum can be used both on the face and body.

Body Cream: Apply the body cream 1-2 times a day to skin that feels dry, or tight, or irritated. Not suitable for use in the intimate area.

  • Don’t layer pro- and postbiotics

Do not use the body cream on the same area, at the same time, as a probiotic serum or oil.

The postbiotic cream contains preservatives that will impact the efficacy of probiotics (live bacteria). Use the products a few hours apart (for example, serum at night and the body cream in the morning.)

  • Store probiotics cool until first use

When unopened, keep the probiotic serum in the fridge (2-8 °C) to maximize shelf-life (best before date is printed on the tube).

Once opened, store the product at room temperature. The product will maintain maximum efficacy for the first three months after opening.

The body cream can be always stored at room temperature. The best-before date is printed on the sealed end of the tube.

Real probiotics are a science

There's a bunch of rumors, recommendations and undocumented experiences within probiotics. We try to elevate the discussion on the area and separate fake from fact, probiotic from none-probiotic

  • Not necessarily.

You may have eread about CFU (colony formin units), which is the indicator of how many active bacteria a product contains. A larger number is not necessarily better. The best dosis is the one which is tested and has proven health benefits.

  • Great questions.

'Probiotic' is often misinterpreted or misused in products that don’t fulfill the definition. Probiotics is still a fairly new area of research and consumer products (in some categories at least), which is why it is sometimes use as a marketing-gimmick. Unfortunately this dilutes the actual science behind real probiotics. There is however stricter regulation on the way, which will hopefully make it easier for you as a consumer to separate probiotics from marketing.

Still curious?

  • Poorly.

People in the industrial world loses microbial diversity in the gut and on the skin due to Western Lifestyle; We live too clean, use antibiotics and eat diet with high fat and refined sugars but low in fiber. The decrease of microbial diversity directly correlates with a rise in a range of skin issues as well as metabolic and immune diseases like allergy, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D), and multiple sclerosis (MS).
